There wasn’t really much to think about when it came to finding inspiration for these shoes. In cycling every countries national champion is bestowed upon them the right to wear the colours of their nations jersey for the following year. In the case of GB, for we race as a United Kingdom, not the individual states, it is predominantly white with a read and blue stripe.
It’s not the biggest race of the year in the eyes of our teams (Tour de France teams anyway!), however for the individual riders, it is extremely important and more often than not we’re left to our own devices when it comes to logisitics and race support. This alone goes to show how much each one of us dreams of actually winning, there are not many other races on the calendar we’d race when we didn’t have to…
